Mk6 tsi ecu swapped in mk5 gti tsi?

I have a 2009 with the tsi and since Cobb still hasn’t made anything for the mk5 I was wondering if I could just swap the ecu. Engines are both the same from what I can tell only thing changed between the 2 was the ecu. I’m sure it would need immobilizer defeat done

Have you checked the wiring diagrams for the Ecu pin outs that they are exactly the same. I would suspect that if everything was the same between the MK5 & 6 regarding Ecu, pin outs, wiring, sensors etc. that Cobb would have realized and had a MK5 tune. Perhaps you want to be the guinea pig???

Did you ever do anymore research into this or hear of anyone doing it? I’ve been wanting an accessport for a while but nothing for the mk5 tsi.
