Can someone help me?
I just fitted mk6 flat bottom steering wheel without buttons, but now i can't use the horn. Do i need slip ring revision C to make it work again? Or is there any other way to make it work?

Thanks jakethemoss. I haven't yet done anything to my horn problem. And i'am wondering if it's possible to use mkv airbag cables or even airbag in mkvi steering wheel to make the horn working?

I have an '07 Rabbit but theres a bunch of scratches on the steering wheel from the previous owner. It'd be nice to replace it with a GTI wheel rather than another boring Rabbit wheel.

Finally got mine installed yesterday.....also have the Climatronic from Mk6

Have issue with the left side switches....could not get them to switch radio station like on the Mark6 ! Only Volume works !

Hi guys, new here on the board. Doing a MK6 GTI steering wheel swap in a MK5 GTI and got problems with the airbag, since MK5 is dual stage airbag and MK6 is single stage airbag. What did you do to get the waring light away and the error code?

We have a tiguan, having fitted the MK6 MFSW, installed a 1K0 953 549 CH, and used the exisitng 1K0 959 653 C slip ring, I can get all the MFSW buttons to work with the car (using code 0000734)...... however the module doesn't read the G85 steering angle sensor, fault code...

1 Fault Found:
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent

... Arhhhhhh - I suspect I need 1K0 953 549 BK, as my original was a type II midline, and think I need a type II highline

Have you solved this.. Ive changed yesterday my wheel in MK5 and put a CH modul but i am getting shit load of errors.. And my wheel is hard like i don't have servo installed.. I think that's because of steering wheel angle sensor, it is needed to calibrate him again. But how do you solve problem above that you stated?

THank you to everyone who's contributed ...tons of great info in this thread! And the Mk6 Climatronic install looks beautiful. I guess all you need is the radio surround that fits? Do the Mk5 wires plug right in?

picking up my MkV gti next week. current non mfsw looking a bit scabby, although the rest of the interior is good.

I appreciate this thread has been "evolving" for some time, but I am keen to replace mfd2 for led mfd3, add the mk VI steering wheel, control box and upgrade the can gateway. I'm looking for someone to fit - but only found one place in Leicester (UK) to supply parts and one other who offers fitting only.

Any ideas?

after i changed my gateway from revision K to AH, i got my 729B bt back in the highline and the OK button suddenly works to end phone calls

just got my new wheel and parts. the airbag center seems to be pushed out more than normal though, will this change after i install it?

i fitted the wheel today along with mk6 ch module new slip ring and mk6 stalk. wheel works horn and buttons ok but I have yellow steering light on that i cant get off. I have tried the full left full right drive forward adaptation thingy about 20 times to no avail.
