Hello all, hope you guys can help me with this issue I’m having.

I recently installed an AEM water/meth injection kit (MAP based) on my 08 FSI.

everything seemed to be working fine but then I started to notice that car wasn’t building as much boost as before, at first I thought it could be a boost leak but I checked and couldn’t find any so I decided to hook up my vagcom and got the following:

Has anyone experienced misfire issues after installing their W/M kits?
Btw the misfire occurs right when starting up the car...not even when in boost which has me confused as nozzle is not spraying when in idle (assuming it’s an A/F ratio reading issue)
Any help will be highly appreciated

Is the nozzle lower than the top level of the reservoir. If so, you are getting gravity feed when system off. Pooling up in area where you jet is. You start up the car and all that water mix causes initial misfire.

When installing a system I always put a solenoid valve between the reservoir and pump. When power goes off, solenoid valve closes. And I always put in checkvalves for feed at the point of the nozzle to further insure that I only get liquid in to stream when I want it there. If you post your system design, happy to help you troubleshoot.
