sorry to revive an old thread but I'd like to point out that oem fluid is not 75w90 the oem fluid is g052171a2 and it is made by fuchs. it is just labeled 75w. fuchs titan fe 75w is the equivalent...if you look at the viscosity of all of these oils (motul,redline,etc) they are all waaay off from oem....oem is the best feeling fluid imo and I'm in florida.

More than one mechanic has recommended using a thicker weight to ail my grind into second gear from first and third. Any thoughts on the full synthetic Motul 75W-140?

So this thread has me thinking. I live in Alaska and it's cold AF here. Should I stick with the OEM gear oil or switch to something different?

I would stay with what the factory used if you need/or are going to change it.
