American Racing (aka Wheel Pros), who makes Motegi wheels, was bought out by Wheel Pros on April 30th, 2008. Everyone was laid off and the factories in America were shut down. For a while they were still using the "Made in America" boxes with the wheels having "Made in China" stamped on them.

They definitely don't look cast. considering how light they are, even forged mono-block in the same size won't be much lighter

pretty sure that scale says 6.8 kg which would translate to 15ish lbs. which is much more believable

Scale is saying 6.8kg and it is about 14.991433829 lbs.

Yeah those wheels are actually pretty amazing price for the weight. Now let's just hope the tires can be as light.
