Introduction and Fuse 41

Hello I have a 2007 golf gti 2door.

Everything works on the car except fuse 41- windshield washer pump/rear wiper. Everytime I put a new fuse in, it just blows everytime I turn on the car.

The car has a new windshield washer pump too

If anyone knows where the ground runs to the battery, I'm thinking it could be that or maybe a cord in the boot somewhere, not sure.

I like the car, just this minor issue is driving me bananas!

Sounds good. I'll take a peak. I brought home my wire brush too, going to clean all the ground connections and everything. One cannot live without the washer life style.

so I've gone through the whole hatch and even pulled the plastic off and all the wires and plugs. They all seem super clean and no corrosion. and the ground on the back hatch is un weathered. On the passenger side boot of the hatch I found on wire that was cracked open a little bit but even when patched up the fuse still went so the short has to be somewhere else. It's quite odd everything else works and this one piece is down
