I did. not a stupid question though. I could see this. I'm going to try and reverse it and then re apply it tonight. Maybe the coding didn't take properly.

Do i need a Euro switch to have my FTP lights come on when i put my HID high beams on? or can it just be done with coding, i live in the hills and would love to have a little extra light when i throw on my hi beams, plus itll look cool this the YELLOW FTP bulbs. :) i have fogs set as DRLs as of now, not sure if i like it may have it disabled. If i get a euro switch will I be able to turn all lights off if fogs are set as DRLs, sorry kinda new to the headlight game with VW my audi had the most electrical problems ever so didn't like messing with them.

No you do not.
But you must set non-US instrument setting,
US instrument setting does not permit / overrides the 'FTP with high beams' setting.

or can it just be done with coding,
Yes

If i get a euro switch will I be able to turn all lights off if fogs are set as DRLs,
No, the whole purpose of DRL is to never permit all lights off
when key is on and parking brake released.
But you get something a little closer with the above settings.
i.e.
The combination of European instrument setting and euro swtich
disables DRL when just parking / city lights are selected.

So no, all lights are not off, but parking / city lights only
is as close as you get with DRL enabled.
Again, this is not true when instrument setting is set to US.
i.e. the same euro switch parking / city light selection
keeps DRL active with US instrument setting.

BTW EU instruments, euro switch, fogs as DRL, fogs enabled with high beams
and FTP w/ high beam are my current settings (and have been that way for over three years).

All of your questions are answered in the beginning of this thread :iono:

Coming Home

was wondering if anyone knew the vag com code for AFH so when you pull your keyy your headlights stay on for a set amount of time.
I believe that is called Coming Home in the MFD.
The menu will show up when you have coded properly for the feature.

Coming Home is a bit tricky.
Your headlight switch, instruments country setting,
and presence of a rain / light sensor come into play for activating Coming Home.

Do a search for "coming home" and you should find more than a few posts on the topic.
