A little over a year ago I sold my 2009 (TSI) Stage 2 GTI to a friend. Recently he got a new clutch and light flywheel installed, and then a few months later it threw a oil pressure light. Uh oh. Eventually dropped the oil pan and found chunks and glitter. Oof. Attached is the largest chunk. Seems to have enough shape that was hoping someone could possibly identify what it's from, so we have an idea how it failed. Obviously it's not repairable, but curious to know what happened. Car ran great upon sale. It's worth noting that this was the new owners first sporty car and first manual. He doesn't recall any money-shifts or significant abuse, but did say the old clutch was stinking pretty bad before he had it replaced which is concerning (meaning it was slipping hard).
