i am unlucky

1 and a half years ownership of a MKV. 7000 miles. let me give you an account of how my life has been with this car

bodywork issues:

sep 06 - incurred a minor scrape
jan 07 - went into a curb too quickly and had to replace wheel/tyre
mar 07 - reversed into the back of my mums car, resulted in a minor scrape
may 07 - minor scrape caused by my neighbour, he would not admit liability.
jul 07 - drove too near a petrol pump, tugged on hose, unit fell on side of car. damage wasnt too bad.
just now - forgot that there was some rubbish left in front of my parked car. drove onto it and it was not good. scuffed side door and possibly dented.

have used touch up paint for some instances. but still its not the same as having a clean car.

reliability issues:

sep 06 - new engine cyliner head unit required replacing.
apr 07 - gearbox needed serious work on.

plus some speaker stuff but thats minor.

obviously a lot of the above faults are mine. but i am as careful as i can be but i have been really unlucky sometimes. no one is perfect but i think i really suffer for it.

basically the MKV has give me bad luck and i dont know what to do anymore.

Sounds like you need to make friends with your fast to me as well. I've only had my second hand GTI for a little under a month and at a bit over 19k on it, he's a champ.

yeah just seems like an experience issue,

however cylinder head issues and trans issues are pretty big deals...

Did you maintain the car or did you drive it hard. that can make a big difference.
