How to remove parking light bulb socket?

Dear members.

2009 VW MK5 GTI TSi CBFA 6MT.

The passenger side parking light (City Light) went out (no warning sign on the dashboard).
I've seen and implemented the method in many webs, but I can't take out the parking light socket.
Does anyone know how to do it?

EDIT: Turn counter clockwise & pull

It's just wedged in there tight.....pull it straight out

I believe one must turn counter clockwise and pull , to remove.

Let me try to do this this evening & will update.
Tried to many ways to remove the socket last night, no luck.

Oh maybe you're right....I think I was thinking about the Tiguan instead, lol
