hrmmm interesting, so its working on the same principles as the compressed air technique right? seems like its worth a try but id feel alot better about it if somebody here has done it

I'm about to try it on our RX-8...we have like 5 door dings I'd like to get out. I can look into it this weekend or next if you're not in a rush.

i'd appreciate it, i may try it out on a ding on a friends car later if you dont get around to it. my largest concern is if the extreme temperatures and dramatic temperature change have any effect on the paint. i understand (from the video) that there is nothing major, but still any dulling or hazy leftovers will annoy me (especially on a black car!)

Any updates on the success of the dry ice technique? I am interested...

I tried using hair dryer and air duster technique on my small dents.

It doesn't work. I might have to use dry ice technique now.

Just call the Mark, the PDR guy I PM'd you about. There is a reason that the PDR guys stay in business and make a good living...

I'm getting a PDR quote today on two dents. One is about the size of a silver dollar and the other a dime. I'll let you know what the estimate is for reference.

Both dents on the same panel?

yes, the large dent was on the edge of the front fender above the wheel well, which made it more difficult to reach and reshape the body lines. the tech was able to remove about 90% of the dent and it would only be noticeable to someone who knew it was there, so i'm very satisfied with it. the small dent was on the same panel above the large one. that one is completely gone. $125 for both. i think this was a fair price for quality work.

cool. I was going to guess in the $125-$150 range. I'm heading over to a buddies PDR shop tomorrow to have him remove a crease from the RR door on the wife GTI.

so i've got some super tiny dents along my passenger side... they look as though a glass marble (or more realistically a careless shopping cart) was thrown into my car: smaller than a finger tip. they almost seem like they CANT be fixed because of the tiny size. any ideas? will any of the methods mentioned above work?
