I wanted to check the clearance of my tires, for any rubbing.
So i fully compressed the shock to see if there was any interference.
I had to grind down the inside of the bumper a tiny bit, no big deal.
Now, no chance of rubbing.
While doing so, I figured i'd take some pictures and share with people how to put some WIDE tires on the gti.
Factory camber adjustment is maxed out.
Specs of wheel
18x8.5 et45
specs of tire
Dunlop z1 star spec
255/35/18, to those of you who don't know how to read tires, that is the same diameter as the stock 225/40/18, just a lot wider
Any wider of a rim, and it would rub.
Any lower of an offset, and it would rub. et45-50 is perfect for the rear
any wider of a tire, and it would rub
any taller of a tire, and it would rub
