Real EU blanks, complete with real registration and region decals and all (although from previous years). Specifically Lower Saxony (Nierdesachen) (where Wolfsburg is---home of the Golf) Very authentic.
TIP: Instead of creating crazy German plates with cheezy catch phrases, why not go for authenticity by using valid letter/number combinations? Read-up here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_car_number_plates
(I get waves from European visitors all the time!)
