I'm really stuck here, I have a mk5 golf bmn 170.
First of all I had low oil pressure which was down to the oil pick up pipe being blocked.
And now..
The car has a fight trying to start, I cleaned the intake flap and changed fuel filter, the car does start after ~10seconds but it idles very lumpy, 1200rpm and does not go down. The car sounds so loud!!
I have vcds and the code reads engine speed sensor g28 although I'm putting this down as it takes a while to crank over and start so it throws that code. The car has been sitting for a year, it used to be fine.
On vcds the idle adjustment setting it says 800rpm specified when the car is off, as soon as you start the car it changes to 1200 specified.
I have no idea what else to change or what can cause the car to idle at 1200 rpm, please if anyone can shed some light I will appreciate it!
I have unplugged the MAF sensor just to see if any change but there is no change
