He won't burn at the stake. It's basically saying buy nice suspension, not cheap one size fits all springs. Get a well made cold air intake that doesn't sit right on top of the engine. Most of this is well known by the enthusiasts here.

You shouldn't read much into that article. It's obviously click bait. I frequent Jalopnik regularly, but it's annoying when they post these types articles. They basically post a controversial title with a list that will cause drama, then back off on the argument (in this case the "uselessness" of the [insert mod here]) in the small print to help maintain cred.
