I guess the main reason is because there's three languages in Belgium: Dutch, French and German.

Second reason, in the Dutch-speaking part, there's a big variety of regional dialects. Some worse then the others.
I once had a conversation with a trucker from near Kortrijk, and it took me 30 seconds to realize he was speaking Dutch.
At first I thought he was speaking Polish or something :bellyroll:
