Can anyone recommend a good shop that can do a takedown conversion on a lever action?

Hey, good topic! Guns and women, because it can be combined, haha. I like brunettes, for example)) Okay, not about that. I prefer rifled guns. They have to rifle on the inside of the barrel, and going through the bore, the bullet "bites" into these rifles and twists. This results in a much more stable trajectory. As a rule, rifled weapons have a much smaller caliber than smoothbore weapons. By the way, rifled weapons are believed to have been invented as early as the late 15th century. I would also talk about sights. What are your favorites? Check out the range at https://ballachy.com/best-spotting-scope/. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome they all are. Which one do you think is worth buying?

My son is getting a new rifle from his awesome dad for his birthday. (Saint Victor)

What kind of connections would you guys use for a two point sling? I think I have the QD in the rear correct, but what should I do for the front? Side release QD on the sling like it is and then QD mount on the rifle (using the mount in the link below?) or something different? These are the options Blue Force Gear offers.

Anyone have a good clay/self defense compromise shotgun?

I’ve been eyeing the Mossberg JM Pro, but open to suggestions.

I just have mine loop through the stock in the back, and then made a little paracord loop on the hand rail and attached it there. Works fine for me and stows well when not in use with my tactical asparagus rubber band. I also highly suggest the ferro concepts slingster. super quick to adjust and really comfortable.

Benelli M4 or Spas 12 is always the answer

Both these recommendations are far too tactical. I’m looking for a compromise that can still handle occasional trap + defense.

Is a handgun or AR pistol out of the question for the defense aspect of it? Personally I would choose one of those two for defense then just get a dedicated shotgun for trap. I wouldn't want to navigate my house with a shotgun and having some extra round capacity would be nice too

Im going to have to move back to NY, so yes. Owning a handgun in NY takes years. My pistol will stay in VT. So yes, has to be a shotgun.

Looking to build an AR for the collection. What recommendations do you all have for uppers? Looking for a mid to high end all around 5.56 platform.

A buddy of mine just got a complete upper from Geissele and it’s really nice.

Bendy Bill! Are you looking for a complete upper or a stripped one?

Looking around to be honest. For simplicity a complete would be fine but then again I do not mind assembling a stripped. For context I have a Sig M400 and an X95 bull pup to meet most 5.56 needs so am considering longer range to accompany my .308 bolt action.

BCM is always a solid choice and LMT if you wanna be gucci. Can also never go wrong with Daniel Defense if you got the money to shell out for it.
