Golf 5 seat air bag / seat replacement issues

Hey everyone,
For quite some time now my passenger seat has had an side airbag fault and I’ve just gotten around to sorting out the problem.
I’ve bought a replacement seat (which was $800 cheaper then a new airbag and labour to install) but the seat is from a 2007 golf I believe. My Golf is a 2005 comfortline
The replacement seat I bought has two extra wires/plugs compared to the original and also the airbag fault light has not gone out in after I changed the seat with my replacement seat.
My question is, is this seat compatible with my golf, do I need to get a system diagnostic and reset the fault, or, could this seat also have a fault in it.
