The 06 GTI came out with Dual Climate Control and then they cut costs in 2007 and stopped putting it in. I have leather door cards, rubber strips on the rear side windows and all sorts of other things that VW ended up cheaping out on. 2006 FTW! Now someone buy it!!

Let me give you a few words of advice. I just sold my '06 recently. Part it out the best you can. The aftermarket parts are worth it to an enthusiast, but add no real value to the car.
Second don't trade it in. Just sit on it for awhile. Trust me, the dealer will try and rape you. I had an '06 still under extended warranty same options as you with only 42k on it. I was offered 10k trade in at one dealer. Then was offered 11,500 at Carmax. I eventually ended up selling it back to the VW dealership where I had bought it for 11,750.
