Firewall Cap/Plug for A3/Tiguan Noise Pipe Delete (PICS!)

This is the rubber cap for the noise pipe delete that everyone talks about. I never saw pics of it on here, so I figured I'd post them up for people.

Perfect fit & seal!!!

Home Depot has it in the plumbing aisle & it was $3.22

Sweet! I'll have to install the piece that sticks out of the firewall to put the plug on. I removed everything and left a hole there.

Well the other option for you is to buy the Jetta/GLI block off plate, but that'd cost more than the ~$3.50 cap, LOL

you can cut it but i pulled the rain tray back and took the bolt outs then got that thing out.

why not just take the whole thing out?

1. It's a lease

2. You gotta buy the Jetta firewall insert thing (costs ???)

3. It's more labor intensive to pull out that whole assembly, obviously

hey when u ordered your tiguan pipe did anything else come w/ it??? my dealer is going to match the price of ecs tuning but he said all it will come w/ is the pipe itself....

mine didnt cost a thing

made my own cap at work for the pipe
then used foam stuff to plug up the fire wall

it's the same exact routing....just without the Y joint going to the noise piping
