Finally installed my CF hood!

OK OK here it is i finally got the time enough to get the damn hood installed with the hood locks for that added layer of protection. lol these are the first pics taken on my phone the second batch will be up tomorrow night. but here goes...

nope locks as in protection from the hood opening itself at 80 mph. you could use pins but they are fugly and cheap lookin imho.

no the weigh of the hood is so light that at highspeeds sometimes the hood will latch open and destroy your windshield, its happened on my buddies WRX before.

Ya, it will scew more the just the whindsheld...glad you didnt go with the pins.

Hows the underside look like? you think the mouting points are strong?

hmm...wonder how it would look on a TR?

it was quite a bit of hackin and stuff for the install on the locks but after all was done it came out ok i have pics on my digi cam of the finished product. the mounting points should be strong enough if not then oh well but my friend in the autobody shop said it will be ok so i trust him We'll see lol. it feels very solid though when its closed no movement at all in the hoodlatch/hoodpin areas.

also i think it would look sweet on the tr u can't really see it on the BMP unless the sun catches it right. it looks like the stock hood from a distance because the stock hood was also black but on TR it'll be very noticable
