EPC light on and p2294 code

I bought a 2006 GTI 2 months ago and now it’s got the EPC light on and wouldn’t go past 4K rpm. The code was p2294. I’ve already had the hpfp replaced with a new one with apr internals, new coil packs, plugs, fuel pressure sensor, cam follower, injectors cleaned out and rebuilt, and all the carbon cleaned out the intake and valves. Put it all back together and is running the same. Anyone got any ideas what else could be wrong?

If you are certain that this is not being caused by a wiring issues(open circuit)and have done testing then take a look at the fuel pressures from the Lpfp & hpfp while at idle and doing a pull and log those pressures. With a scan tool look at 239 & 231.
