Same thing as the chunky vs smooth peanut butter thing. Buy the tortilla chips, break them down to make effectively the same thing as strips.

They're just not that tasty as far as chips go either. Plus I feel like I always get too much salsa/guac with them, the triangles are better for getting the right proportion

You shut your whore mouth!! Scoops is the greatest chip invention since, well, chips! You get some ( can't remember what it is called, sausage salsa cheese dip stuff) and fill up a scoop tortilla chip and you are in heaven!!!
