This is a legit conversation I had this morning.

Last Thursday, on 2/2, one of my colleagues said, verbatim:

"actually...i might just send them a fresh email with the timeline"

This morning, the "them" in that message said 'Hey, when is this stuff due? I haven't seen a timeline'.

That colleague had the audacity to say this morning, verbatim:

(copying the above message) "I just realized that my phrasing of the above did not convey what i intended. i meant to suggest that you send them the timeline."

MOTHERFUCKER, YOU LITERALLY SAID "I MIGHT"!!!!

They did take the blame and apologized saying the miscommunication was their fault.

Grandmother passed yesterday. Working today to stay distracted before the week devolves to chaos. Need to do 11 performance reviews before Friday on top of it. My boss offered to do them for me if I can’t.

It was time. She was almost 96. Got to go out on her terms. No prolonged misery or any of that. Last weekend she became bedridden and it was a quick turn from there.
