That pretty much sums them up. It’s become increasingly nauseating since about ‘12 when ObRnA GonNa tAkE mUh GuNz aWaY.

I used to shoot competitively, and was at my gun club 2-3 days a week. Then all the wackos started coming out of the woodwork. A set of combat veteran oriented license plates and some guns automatically made me a kind ear to their bullshit. Since COVID it was on an exponential trajectory for the level of crazy these people would vomit at the firing line. Late 2020 I had enough and stopped competing when there was a prayer said at the safety brief. The prayer leader thanked god for our rights and may he protect, and I quote, “our savior Donald Trump, who shall deliver us from AOC and the unholy leftist agenda.” I shit you not, I was like, what the fuck cult is this, and which watch list do I need to get off of.

A few months later my shooting buddy convinced me to join him at a local match, and it was more of the same. Fucking wackos making every level headed gun owner look bad. If you don’t support a M2HB in the hand of every man woman and/or child then clearly you are a communist, socialist, anti-Christ trying to turn the US into [insert racist/nationalist trope here].

We’ve even seen the rhetoric in this forum with a specific few touting StaNd YeR gRoUnD and I’LL ShOoT yOu wIf mUh lEvEr gUn aNd/Or sHiTbOx MoSin NaGaNt sNiPeR rIfLe. Acting like their 18 seconds of glory cosplay won’t be extinguished by a giggling uniformed 18yo GED recipient behind a Mk19.
