Not necessarily. Let's say Canada has ~50 electoral votes, and all 50 votes went to Kamala, she would still have less votes less than Trump. It's pretty sad watching "conservatives" champion the idea of Canada joining the US as a state, without realizing that such a move would basically guarantee Democrats every election moving forward. Does anyone think for their selves anymore?
Don't be so sure. Canadians have been fighting Trudeau and asking America for help for years. They are euthanizing people to take their organs. The liberals are simply more vocal, I think worldwide most are sick of these policies. It's pretty sad watching "conservatives" champion the idea of Canada joining the US as a state, without realizing that such a move would basically guarantee Democrats every election moving forward. And if US does acquire Canada I don't think it would be just 1 gigantic state. It would likely be divided up into multiple states. And many Canadians are right leaning gun owners that are sick of woke ideology.
Speaking of "think for their selves" why are you regurgitating democrat talking points, when you could've looked up this information yourself?

Common sense? Tell me you don't know how the electoral college works without telling me. California, with it's 39 million people, has 54 electoral votes. Canada has a population of 41 million. At most, it could have 55 electoral votes. So yes, that is more than 50, but it is not a "common sense" answer as you seem to believe. His guess of 50 was closer to reality than your post suggests what you think it should be.Canada would have more than 50 votes, that's just common sense. Secondly, Canada is still very liberal, evident by their parliament. So for those who want Canada to be brought in as a single state, exactly what do they think is going to happen? They're suddenly going to flip to majority conservative? And who was pushing this idea before Trump started touting it?

Also, I don't think anyone realistically wants or thinks Canada should be a state. Just like when he was President last time, Trump says off the wall stuff to get people talking and steer the conversation in a certain direction. If saying something about making Canada a state gets people to accept and admit that trade practices between the US and Canada give Canada an unfair advantage, then he's obtaining his desired end state.
That's not what I suggested. You're the one lacking common sense here if you don't think 55 is ~50Yes, suggesting Canada would have less votes than California lacks common sense, IMHO.
I completely agree with your second point, except that's not the way most people are framing it. They actually would like to see Canada become a state.
