Considering a Loaded 08 GTI. Advice?

I'm considering a loaded 2008 GTI with:

  • 75,500 miles
  • Red/Dark Gray Leather
  • Nav
  • DSG
  • Autobahn pack
  • Carfax says one owner

for $17000, from a local dealer.

Decent deal?
Should I consider an extended warranty?

Any advice would be appreciated.

That is incredibly expensive for an 08 w/ 75k. My 09 was 18grand w/ 19k miles on it.

I got my 07 GTI with: 34k miles, 6MT, Autobahn, and a CPO warranty for 15.6k.

Got it a month ago, I would keep looking.

What's interesting is that the dealer started the price out at $14,954 online, but when I asked about it, they said it was an error by their previous web guy.

Here's a part of the craigs list ad from last week.

Got my 2006 FSI with 71,100 miles for $9,999. With tax title license and 3 year extended warranty out the door was $12,800. They listed it wrong on auto trader but legally they have to hold to that price. I practically stoll the car lol. STRONGLY recommend the extended warranty, and dont chince out on it either, get the best warranty they offer, I promise it will pay for itself at those miles.

Mine had 38k on it when i got it a month ago for $14,499 its a 2007. I made sure it had 18" HUFFs. 75,000 is way too much already for a 2008. Not even my wifes corolla thats a 2007 has that many miles. shes only at 62,000.
