Looks like my brake system is crapping out on me.. I need a new rear right caliper and new brake booster. Here are the part numbers I've found:
Caliper: 1K0615424P
Brake Booster: 1K1614106AB
Called the dealership and gave them my VIN, they said I need brake booster 1K1614106AA... all the retail sites say it only fits a MkVI GTI.
Planning to stop by a junkyard and snag some parts off a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition, with the 2.0T FSI engine...dealership also said caliper/booster is not interchangeable between 2.0T Jetta and MkV GTI, but all the retail sites say they do. I have 282mm rear rotors.
Anyone done a swap for these brake parts and have an idea of which donor cars have acceptable parts?
