Think I sent a rod bearing and most likely bent some valves messin around with tc off in the rain yesterday.
Need to swap the motor asap and had a few questions I was hoping you guys could help me with. First off, are the tfsi’s found in the eos our exact same motor? Was doing some searching on carpart and for whatever reason much lower mileage eos motors are far cheaper than the higher mileage gti motors. Are there any differences between the two I should know about? Second question is what do you guys recommend should be changed prior to droppin the new motor in? So far Ive got timing belt, tensioner and rollers, water pump, and the rear main. Is it worth doing the exhaust cam chain while Im in there? Looking at motors from anywhere around 60-100k.
