I think its a publicity stunt by P. Diddy. Just like how he bought his son a Maybach, and had an extravagant "unveiling" where there were cameras everywhere, and a driver who was cleaning it while wearing a suit, etc... If he wanted to give his son a Maybach, he could have tossed him the keys in the privacy of his home or something.
