Antenna connection question

Which antenna wire is the best to use with an aftermarket radio? Does it matter which one you use? Getting poor reception lately and have tried both of the antenna wires. I have had the radio for a few years and some times the reception is not the best and has never been as good as the factory radio. Would be nice to be able to use the dual antenna like the factory did. I'm using a Kenwood flip out with and have also tried a powered antenna adapter and a non powered antenna adapter with the same results.

i get better reception with the FM wire hooked up the tan color one it's still not the same as OEM.

I used to have pretty good radio reception but it went to crap here recently. What about swapping out the antenna? Maybe put an antenna elsewhere without modding the exterior of the car?

If it went bad recently, something has gone amiss.
You will need to follow thru the aerial cct for a fault.
