Another GT30 Build Thread...Yawn

Ok so this will be my thread for the build. For starters you can see my previous mods in my sig...just a STG2+ car, no biggie.

Lets start with a list of new parts/mods-

BSH WOA Turbo Kit w/ GT3071R
BSH FMIC
BSH Throttle Body Pipe
Snow Performance STG 3 W/M
Wavetrack LSD
Wiseco Pistons (83mm)
IE Connecting Rods
South Bend STG 5 Clutch
RS4 Injectors
Uni Tuned
ARP Fasteners for the diff, rods and head.

Since the motor will be out, the timing belt/water pump and pulleys and idlers will all be replaced. The block has been punched out by .5mm (to 83mm) and the whole rotating assembly has been balanced to 9000rpm.

The head has new valve guides and keepers, and has had the carbon build up removed and hot tanked.

This car will be a(mostly) daily driver, so reliability was key. Upon removal and tear down of the block, the oil squirters were all replaced after finding one that seemed totally shot. Also the original plan was to use the stock pistons, but they were also toast, with heavy pitting probably due to the faulty oil squirter. So everything is new or freshened up...hoping to make about 450whp :)

If anybody has questions or thoughts, please feel free to comment or send a PM...but now to the good stuff...PICS!

ninja edit, since the motor is torn apart, have you considered installing the h2sport cam follower fix?

the h2sport kit is not something i was ever really interested in...im just going to change the cam follower like everybody else...and plus at this point the amount of money i have in this car is officially in the "shit ton" area lol

looking good. on that throttle pipe id sand the mating surface for the map sensor. Not really 100% necessary but 'while youre there'.

ps: on meth you should be able to do more than 450whp...depending on dyno. Did you get a chance to dyno while stage 2?

ok i will have to check that out on the TBP- thanks for the advice

i did a before dyno and it was pathetic...i dont have the graph on me but it was like 225whp.

i will be happy with 450whp, but obviously more is better...i know a similar A3 with similar parts and turbo/tune that put down like 440whp...there will be after dynos done

also, most of the pics were taken by me today, so the car will probably be done early next week. that way everybody wont be waiting months to see any progress...it has been a good 6 week long process so far but I had serious problems with the stock pistons and block...but everything is super solid now.

What are you planning to rev to? Or do uni not open rpm?

i believe the uni tune allows a slightly higher rev limit like any other tuner...honestly i have no idea what the rev limiter will be at having had revo the whole time with this car...i can look into it tho and see what it is
