Has anyone used any of the non OEM cam followers on ECS? I'm tired of paying $50 every time. Wondering if they're any different.

OEM style should be ok, I think Febi is the OEM supplier.

Getting a aftermarket one that claims to be made of harder material is stupid. You can choose to wear down a $50 follower or a $$$$$$$$$$ camshaft.

Ran the INA that comes in the ECS refresh kit (with the new bolts and o-ring) with no issues. I was swapping them every 20k miles on a stock drivetrain.

Personally I'd stay away. A buddy of mine tried an aftermarket that supposedly lasted longer. He paid the price by grenading his head when it failed. Not sure what brand he had

Hey was running the HPFPUPGRADE.COM "upgraded" cam follower. It literally grenaded and proceeded to take out his head and dump a lot of metal into his motor.

Stick with OEM or an OEM supplier.
