Saw that a few months ago and the engine will be going into a Ford the report sad eventually.

Polestar is nice, but you can get a v60 wagon used for pennies on the dollar then just tune it to your heart's content.
I cross shopped that with golf/gti and 2015 used were going for $23k with less than 20k miles. Not sure what they are now.
Then you can get a polestar our elevate tune for both the t5 our t6.
Of course a Higher ceiling with the t6.
Then just need some suspension and wheels and you're 90% there and probably with more comfortable seats

Actually after reading the article the golf R is already faster. This thing is a pig.

Both rated by their manufacturers at 4.9 to 60. I like their drivetrain more. Almost bought a 2016 but they cost more and the only dealer around is far from me.
