2009 Mt Buller Sprint

Went to the final day of the Mt Buller sprint today, great weather got a bit sun burnt. The guys from VolksPower in the 2005 GTi finish 24th overall is link http://www.mountainmotorsports.com.au/results/MBS09_Outright.pdf. Great effort considering the machinery that entered.

Looks like there were only two FWD cars. The other being a Mazda 3 Diesel that came 48th out of 75. Interesting....

Hey, I was in Ballarat today. Flew in from Canberra yesterday for a mates birthday but left today at 10.00am.

Yes Mat, I encountered a group of Harley riders on the journey home. It's unfortunate to think that some pollies would like to invoke "anti association" laws against these people. They seemed to me to be totally decent members of the community. Mostly my age and older. Yeh, really old :biggrin: and they obeyed the road rules "to the letter".

There is no doubt a "criminal element" in existence within the bikie movement. It's just a pity that they're all seen as being "bad eggs" when they see fit to gather in a group.

That same car was originally kosi's GIAC powered car! Didnt Seb have a bit of a hand in prepping the car for the track? I think the biggest downfall was lack of sponsorship.
It would be great if VW would start participating in motorsport in Australia again at some point.

I was gonna make the trek up to mt buller as its a great event. I wasnt able to drag any of my friends out of bed at 5am sunday morning to get there.

Make sense for them to get involved... they do quite a bit OS, hell they run pre-production models in the Nurburgring 24hr so they should be confident enough.

VW have already had a crack. They had the 2x MK4 R32's. Seb was the tech for the team.
