Hello All! Happy to be here. Here's my situation:
2008 Rabbit, 2.5L 5-cyl
63k original miles
No engine work ever, outside of regular maintenance.
Manual Transmission.
Stored in indoor garage for 6 years, never noticed issue before storing.
No leaks, no puddles, just antifreeze smell coming from driver's side of engine when warm.
Reservoir low, at bottom of tank - first time it became low.
Starts and runs very well.
Low coolant light.
No check engine light.
No white smoke (or any smoke) out of exhaust.
No visible coolant on engine.
No coolant smell from inside the passenger compartment, still no smell when heat is on.
Original coolant in car, never added or replaced.
What are typical leak points?
