My golf has over 200k on the clock, however mostly it drives well and it's a nice version, don't wanna get rid of it.
Last year it happened once on the trip during heatwave and recently during heatwave it happened a few times.
Car is loosing power and its choking on lower gears, when stopped engine is shaking. Seems to disappear when it's turned off and on again.
My mechanic told me my catalyst are dirty so I got some cataclean but it didn't help with this.
No engine light on.
Any ideas ?
Maybe spark plugs ?
Last time I've changed them probably 35k ago and driving every day, mostly city, short trips.
Coolant is max, temp is correct always, new radiator.
DSG serviced in last 8 months with a new gasket and oil changed. Using 95 or 97 or 99. Depending on the price and budget.
Chain is tight. New battery fitted, after 3 years.
It needed to be turn on twice to catch a couple of times within last 12 months.
Never engine light on.
It doesn't happen all the time, but recently it was a couple times in one day, and once today. It could lead to something more serious if it isn't already
