I have had megan racing(2inch) lowering springs for weeks and is about to install them on my 07 gti.I broke my hand so I cant do it.My brother who is a GM tech is going to put them on for me this week.He wanted to know of any helpful install hints/tips?

Bump stops-do you guys cut them or remove them?
The front driver side looks like it will be the most pain?

I got all of the tools he needs(even the 12pt tri star bit) and he is doing it at his shop on a lift.

After the springs is exhaust.
pcv removale kit with catch can.

I got the car done the rear driver side was apain other than that not bad.the back dropped 2.5 and the front 2.75.almost cant get to my work or out of the drive way.no way i could put a body kit on without ripping it off.

handles great no body sway, very stiff ride though.

The ride must be really crappy. Get some Bilstein sports to match your springs. I don't think the OEM struts will last long with that kind of drop.
Good thing you didn't destroy your HID leveling sensors like many do when replacing springs.

Enjoy

Your stock shocks will most likely be toast in about 10k miles. Start saving for some Koni's or the like. Bilsteins are a bit on the harsher side I heard.
