I just installed a new battery on my 06 gti and now the power steering is gone. i do know the power steering is an electronic system... so is this something i did by accident when installing the new battery and can fix on my own? or should i take it in to the dealer?

I hear many different opinions. I currently have a 3inch catless downpipe with the stock 2.5 inch catback. I hear that completing the 3" exhuast makes the car breath easier and gains a tiny amount of performance. what do you guys think? is this something that should be done?
