Is anyone willing to rent the equipment in Canada? Jack couldn't use the first VAS5054A I bought, the second one I bought has been stuck somewhere between China and Canada for a month, and I'm starting to get desperate we don't have the same options on Amazon and the only local seller I can find won't tell me anything about the quality of the device he stocks. I'm assuming cross-border shipping will be pretty expensive but if you're willing to ship to Canada I'm willing to entertain the idea - please PM me.

Edit: Bit more digging and it looks like CP is still on for the amplifier (VCDS Scan of component 47 shows it) and we just missed it. Removed CP on the Amp and that resolved the fader/sound issue. All items now functioning.

Just worked with Jack this morning and got everything set up on the MIB2 conversion. Only one outstanding issue and looking for advice if anyone has had this. It appears sound is only coming out of the drivers door and A pillar speakers and fader control in the MIB doesn't seem to change this. I've checked wiring, validated MIB2 amp, did a quick glance in VCDS and don't see anything obviously wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,I am not able to create LAN connection to my MIB2 unit 3q0035846B soft 891, with Dlink Dub E100 rev D1. Green Eng menu is active, option Ethernet is ON, comp IP is set to 192.168.1.10, coding in 05F ch 19 set to USB full. There is USB hub with two outputs, both were tested, charging is active on both, USB stick can be read by one of them.
Checking measured values by Odis show that USB is connected but it is not fully identified. (USBdevice class=FF and sub-class =FF) I have tried to connect also lan adapter Edimax , without success.
Any suggestion what could be an issue ? Is there any other way how to open telnet connection to the unit ? Serial port or any activation file stored on SD card ?
I would like to activate Android auto remotely, but without connection ......

Successfully activated my MIB2 retrofit! Thanks to @simaservis1108 for doing the component protection & FeC work, and to @Bf2x2 for renting me the tools (both were excellent to work with if you’re looking to do this in Canada). And a big thanks to everyone who contributed to this guide. CarPlay works great!

I also used @simaservis1108 for my retrofit and it was very easy to contact them, and arrange a time to complete the work. Rented the needed items from @sprinks and had no problems. Encoutered a few hiccups in my unit getting it to cooperate but @simaservis1108 had no problem getting it to work and adapting to my 2015. Thanks to you both!

@simaservis1108 is the man!! He spent pretty much the whole day helping out with my '15 MIB1 to MIB2 retrofit. He went above and beyond, did everything perfectly. Would the NAV 8 inch gloss screen (5G6919605B) work with MIB2? Or does it need MIB2.5? Also - would it need reprogramming?
