True that. Quebster was gonna do that until shit hit the fan on his car. Shouldn't much to tapping a metal pan. I guess there wouldnt be a point of running a catch can anymore
That is actual flowed oil being collected. I have been told that if I had to I could reuse it. I just so happen to always bring some extra oil with me for track days just in case.
But you're not puffing out black smoke on the track with the vwr plate right? Seems like all pcv replacements are about the sameMy shop said the same thing - just pour it back into the engine. I'm having similar issues with a VWR plate/can. I use Motul 8100 X-Cess oil.

You could always run a recirculating line back to the oil pan, you'd never have to drain it then.
To keep the blowby out of your intercooler and off your valvesThen why use an OCC at all?

I did not see any evidence of smoke when I was out at Laguna Seca a couple of weeks ago.
So run a drain directly back to the oil pan when racing but return it to just a catch can the rest of the time?
I would like to see a response directly from Spulen about the problem when racing other than in a drag race. Is this a problem when racing with any other brands of cars? I haven't heard of it but then I don't read other forums.
it's an air oil separator. A lot of cars run them such as STI and GTR. It's basically an oil catch can that doesn't require draining. It is a much better design but I'm not sure how the plumbing would work on a GTI, as the aftermarket support sucks.
I probably missed it but what change did you make to accomplish that?
VWR PCV plate and catch can went into the car a year ago
