Golf R sway bar and subframe on 1.4T?

So quick q, someone near me is selling the alloy subframe from an 8V S3 that he never got round to putting on his Golf R. Now I have a lowly 1.4T DSG that my wife and I love and is tweaked a bit. I am curious, but doubtful, as to if the alloy subframe would fit? Has anyone got any info? Also he is selling the rear sway bar, but I’m pretty sure that won’t fit my 2wd.

If you have to ask why I would, the answer is “because”.

it should fit. Quick look at parts diagrams shows the subframe carrier for the mk7 golf platform subframe listed for 1.4L to 2.0L.

*edit* and what golfdave says. RSB won't fit.

Rear sway bar won't fit..but front subframe will so long as its MQB platform...

Make certain you have the correct bolts & those nice little grip washers (Item 20) otherwise it slides...
