Hi,
Was hoping for some help from you kind folk...
I was changing the rear discs and pads on the wife’s Golf MK7 which has the electronic parking brake - using VCDS (diagnostic software) I accidentally fully opened the brake pistons with one of the calipers off - think the piston was over-extended as a result, I saw a bit of brake fluid seepage, but managed to eventually push the piston back in using a piston compressor tool without having to dismantle.
Put the caliper back on but getting fault codes saying the EPB is getting “implausible readings” - it sounds like the motor is turning but nothing is happening. When I manually press the brake a few time I can see the piston working fine.
Any ideas ?
ETA: I have VCDS fault code “32813 parking brake maximum run time exceeded”
Thanks
