I THINK YOUR CLAIM IS BASELESS!

So you're in the camp that we wont have to worry about running out of oil for another few hundred years! That way the fact that we are still burning fucktons of it doesn't matter? If anything that would just make the situation even more dire - the more we have to burn and the longer and faster we can burn it.

What i was noting originally was just how amazing it is that the earth did take billions of years to accrue these forms of stored carbon, and how in contrast we are burning it so fast. Like a, 'wow, cool fact' sort of thing. Like how you can spend all week working and your wife will spend all your money in 20 minutes.

Because burning something is faster than putting it together?
It's amazing how that it takes earth billions of years to form mountains and other parts of the earth's crust, and how in contrast all that can go to shit with a 12 point earthquake or a volcano eruption.

So you don't have actual numbers, you just like being in the "we gonna run out of oil tomorrow" camp? You do you, man.

average temperature - yes, 1.0 average higher. extremes? different. amount of rainfall? way different. hurricane, tornado, storm frequency? increased in quantity and intensity.
Manipulated, modified, sprayed in the sky. Yes, we are responsible for extreme weather, but not in the way you think. It is intentional.
#Chemtrails and weather warfare.

best number ive read in recent years was we have up to a few hundred years worth of oil to use, assuming that we will invent our way out of a lot of the things we currently use oil for in excess.
the realistic estimates ive read indicate that since we are only using more oil year after year, we could run out of oil (in the practical sense) within ~50 years.
this is based off of literal executives from companies like BP, the same ones that have gone to extreme measures, like drilling deep into the ocean VS setting up a spicket on land.
humans have used around 1.3 Trillion barrels of oil in total.
no matter what, this is not long term sustainable.

Yeah, i like reading Nostradamus from time to time.

But we digress. How do you know we've burned through a large portion of fossil fuels already? Can't be because some BP exec said so.
