VW Jetta R coming!

VW’s R&D chief, Ulrich Hackenberg, told Autocar that a Jetta R is being evaluated and its chances of production are secure if the customer demand is there. That should be a near certainty, given the popularity of V6 sports saloons in the US, the Jetta’s key market and one where VW expects to significantly increase volume of the new car. :thumbup::thumbup:

that doesnt mean it will come here and if it did it would probably very expensive 30k+ no doubt. Theres a whole different breed of cars you can get for 30K and up. The reason why theyre going to increase sales on the jetta is because theyre cheap ass cars now.

Not unlike the Golf/GTI. You have a car starting in the teens then a well equipped GTI hitting 31k. When you start adding a different motor and goodies (like the GTI) you push it into a different category.
