Too bad for you that they aren't for sale in North America. But here they cost a fortune. The base version with only a 163 HP 2.5L TDI costs 45,600 € ($ 58,100) already while the base version with the 313 HP 5.0L V10 TDI costs a stunning 80,100 € ($ 102,100)

I definately will!

I ordered a set of 18x8 BBS CK wheels two days ago.
I'll post some pics when they're on the car.

Yep, I'm from Belgium too.

Model 2006 GTI / United Grey

options:
-DSG :burnrubber:
-cruise control

28000 km's by now and I still love it.
However, the new R32 seduces me. After a superb test drive I've fallen in love with it. That V6 sound is just ...

Future mods? None, it'll stay OEM.

Cheers to all other GTI/R32 drivers on this forum!

You wouldn't want to live here. You have to pay a whole lot more to buy a GTI here. You would have to pay $ 32,250 for a base 3 door 6 MT GTI.

Try adding another $10K for us all the way down under! We pay so much for cars over here

Recently came back from Europe - saw a little bit of Belgium, stayed in Brugge and had the best beer ever (I know, v. cliche but so true).

We also have to pay some extra taxes (called B.I.V.) when we buy a new car. It depends on the engine's power output.

For the GTI it's 2500 euro
For an R32 it's something like 5000 euro.

Pure theft, that's what it is. Our government is a bunch of thieves if you ask me.
