Hello all,
Picked up my GTI last Thursday, am loving it, what an awesome drive!!

Anyway, last night I notice two buttons below where the selt belt anchor point is on the side wall of the car (I hope people understand where I mean.)

Does anyone know what they do? I pressed them and they light up, but i couldnt see the results of pressing them. I could also find no reference to them in the manuals (which is weird - so maybe i am blind) and a search on this site didnt help me much either (maybe I plugged in the wrong search terms).

Any assistance would be appreciated - thanks!

I agree. One is for towing - the alarm in normal mode activates an anti-towing sensor, in other words once the alarm is on the vehicle cannot be lifted up. This button deactivates that sensor.

The other button deactivates the interior sensor, so that if you have dogs or other people left in the car when you leave it, the alarm can be set without the interior sensor getting set off the moment there is movement inside.

I do not have my vehicle book with me, but there is a mention of this in it somewhere.
