Looking for pointers

Hi everybody,

I have a nikon d70 with the standard lens that came with it when I got the camera. Anyways, I'm never sure of what iso settings to use or the f-stop when taking pics (mainly try to take pics of my car).

I normally just try to make sure the display never goes to far to the + or - (lol i fail). So if I could get some tips of what to do I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S. Got my 09 gti this past thursday and I am loving every minute of it. New car smell ftw.

as far as ISO the smaller the less noise you will have, but in very low light settings you may need to bump up the ISO number. As far as F-stop its all a matter of what your shooting and personal preference. You can use it to get more light in your pictures as well as change your depth of field. Biggest pointer is to practice get out there and shoot one subject changing all the settings and see what it does. Also, search the internet there are tons of sources with great info.
