OEM Foglights.

Hi everyone...

Does anyone know what parts are required to to do a DIY foglight install on a Golf Comfortline and the cost involved?

I have done a search but was unable to find anything.

Also, is it easy enough for a DIY job?

Are foglights and daydriving lights the same thing??

No.

Daytime running lights (DRL) are low beam headlights on full power or slightly lower power (if the car has that function built in). I'm personally not all that fussed by fog lights being used during the day, assuming they're not too bright for oncoming traffic, but the topic usually does raise a few temperatures. :laugh:

As for the retrofitting, it can certainly be done, or at least this was the case with Mk4 Golfs, but I have no clues what the costs involved would be???

I have been told around $800 which is a bit much.

Would like to find something a bit cheaper.

If that's retro fitting OEM fogs I don't actually think that price is too bad. Retrofitting and OEM usually does bring some scary costs with it. I guess you need to ask yourself what you'd most be happy with.

I know if it was me, I would personally want to go OEM, and $800 for retrofitting fogs probably wouldn't scare me off that path.
