playing around with flash

My buddy shot my car using his canon 50D and played with different exposures and flashes.i think they came out pretty sick

1st two pics were pitch black out, and the other had just a bit of lighting behind it




any inputs?suggestions?

i think he means the fake blur background man everything is all blurred out and you can see that theres a fine line of clear asphalt and then blurry from curb up

well i don't photoshop or use digital except for crappy point and shoot/vacations/convenient GTI photoshoots, but when i bust out my 35 mil, i'm pretty sure i could replicate that. just have to expose the film longer.

I'm pretty sure you can get a very similar result but if you look closely at the curb on the left side, half of it is blurred and the other half isn't.
